2008 Villista Cabalgata, Chihuahua,Mexico

The 9th Annual Villista Cabalgata is a bi-national event celebrating the history and the spirit of the Mexican Revolution with Poncho Villa leading the charge! It is a ten day horse trek covering over 200 miles beginning in Madera, Chihuahua and ends at the US/MEXICO border at Palomas and Columbus,NM, with a grand fiesta at the Poncho Villa State Park and Museum.

Celebrate the rich history of the land and the people in this amazing experience beyond borders of sharing cultures, the love of horses, and see for yourself how people can build better relations one to one and community to community.

I am hoping to help network people, friends and community through this blog. Please feel free to add and contribute. The information being posted is what I know thus far and will be updated as information becomes current.

Hi there!

A number of us will be attending the event in Columbus portraying American soldiers of the era. We've been coming down to Columbus for the past two years and I've met some womderful people.

Sorry I missed you in Columbus- unfortunately a number of things came together that prevented most of us from attending this year. For me it was an unexpected injury to my horse and a big vet bill so that pretty much killed my travel plans. Hopefully, things will be better next year.
